Why should health care be an employers responsibility?

I saw this video about Wal-mart where they were complaining that wal-mart wasn’t giving good enough health care, and that got me to thinking. What does health care and a job have to do with one another. I mean seriously they hire you to do a job and pay you to do the job you are doing so why is it their responsibility to provide their employees with healthcare?

You are right. Health Care is a voluntary benefit on behalf of the employer.
