Why should everyone have accessible health care?

Republic Con asked:

If poor people die because they have no health care won’t that make our country richer?

We are not running a charity in this country how dare they dream of equals rights to health care!!

It’s obvious that you’ve never went without good health care because you couldn’t afford it. But that’s what you & people like you deserve.

LOL! Good logic. Why should poor people have police and fire protection? We PAY for that! Let ‘em get killed and raise the average standard of living! Why should we build schools in poor neighborhoods? Let unskilled, illiterate Americans break across the border into Mexico and compete for -their- jobs! Why not? Why do we make poor people wear seatbelts?

I could probably think of dozens of things we can do to eliminate the poor and make the rest of us richer!

Some people are clueless about politics.

buffeeangel…The religious right does not like McCain. Why are you on the politics board commenting if you don’t even know that?

    I guess Sarah M doesn’t get sarcasm.

Somewhere it says: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness – I’m not sure but I don’t think it says – “Don’t take care of yourself, it is okay to be unhealthy, the tax payers will cover your medical debts.”

Obviously there are medical issues that should be universal like vaccines and some reduced medicines to help keep American working – but spending Millions on people who have not taken care of themselves and are now sick because if it – well that should be their own bill.

Maybe they should repay by doing government servitude – if the tax payers cover their medical bills – they should pay it back – if it was their own lifestyle that caused the conditions.

Or – work for a company with medical – or pay your own medical insurance.

Your post is way too stupid to be legitimate.

I’m assuming this is a joke because no one can be this dumb.

You are offensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Health care is a right, not a privilege and you are arrogant for saying that any life is expendable. I hope you are never the guy on the street who checks into the ER on a freezing February night because you have no place else to go. This country was founded on the premise that all are created equal and that includes the poor and disenfranchised. And by the way, if the poor die, it doesn’t make our country richer. Who do you think pays to deal with all the cadavers?

If you had no poor then you have no take away food, you would have dirty bathrooms, you would be washing your own dishes at a resturaunt, if you send your children to public school then there will be no one there to teach them, there would be no nurses to care for you when you were sick, and your toilets would be filthy (I’m sure someone like you wouldn’t clean his own toilet). I could go on forever but, I wont all I will say is that alot of poor people probably work harder than you do so why shouldn’t they have access to health care the same as you. Do you think that children who are born into poverty in The United states deserve to die from no health care as well. You are sicker that the US health system and it’s poor put together. Grow up!!!!

I am against people having equal access to health care. Morons like you should just be given an illness and allowed to expire quickly.
