What is the best healthcare provider for me?

AntiDisEstablishmentTarianism asked:

My wife is 6 months pregnant, and we were thinking of changing plans because Aetna only pays for one ultrasound. Can you recommend a better service provider, and explain why? Thanks.

Changing an insurance plan in the middle of pregnancy is a BAD idea. Some companies will accept you as a client, but when it comes to paying for OB visits and procedures will claim that it’s a “preexisting condition” and won’t pay a dime. About the only way around that is if you change plans under employment (group) insurance plans, that are mandated to accept all conditions.

Whatever you decide, make sure you do your homework before swapping. Also, keep in mind that civilian sonograms are now available to the public. My husband and I had one done at “Babywaves”. It was awesome because it gave us both a video and still shot 4D (the 4th dimension is real time) images of my son while he was in utero.

Congratulations on the new baby to be!
