NOthing. Controls govt put on costs are circumvented. Mandates to give service no matter what drive up costs. &amp; increased doctor &amp; hospital liability, brought on by govt, raise [prices exponentially....the govt does nothing well. They should stay out of health care.</description>

Quite simply, they don&#039;t!  And private health insurance providers love it, it&#039;s what allows them to offer such low quality service and make such high profits.  Most private health care providers are local monopolies, with no competition, they can dictate the prices they charge for service and aren&#039;t beholden to anyone to offer it.

The exception is medicare and medicaid, these are the government&#039;s version of health care providers.  They don&#039;t control rising health care costs, but they do spend their money more wisely.</description>
