Planning a Hawaii Vacation
You can’t beat a Hawaii vacation package when it comes to lying on a beach and having a wonderful time. This is a perfect setting for a lovely and refreshing break to help recharge the batteries.
The Hawaiian weather is fantastic all year round with gentle warm breezes a perfect change to the wintry environment back home, and in summer you have an 85 degree sun cooled by the refreshing tradewinds blowing in from the ocean. It’s never too cold and never too hot.
When planning a family vacation to Hawaii, you may choose to remain on one specific island or make plans to visit other islands.
You will very likely visit Oahu on your vacation to Hawaii, seeing as it is the hub for the majority of flights both to and from the archipelago. However, the island does have a good deal to offer, and Oahu is the main visitor destination featuring Waikiki Beach and Honolulu, the Hawaiian state capital. Here you’ll also be able to see Pearl Harbor. Among the many historic points of interest will be the memorial in honor of the USS Arizona, featuring numerous items relating to the 1941 attack.
North of Oahu, is Kauai Island. This happens to be the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands. There is a great deal of natural beauty and a lot of opportunities for romantic escapades and outdoor activities. The Coconut Coast boasts golden sand shorelines and to the other part of the island is Waimea Canyon. This canyon is referred to as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.
Molokai lies south of Oahu. This island hosts a sizable percentage of Native Hawaiians who continue to embrace their culture, heritage and traditional way of life.
Should you be looking to enjoy a quiet vacation in Hawaii, Lanai is the best destination for you. It doesn’t have any stop lights and it’s also the least densely inhabited of all the Hawaii Islands. It’s a great spot for a private romantic getaway, and Lanai also has two golf courses just to keep your fitness levels trim.
Maui is situated in the middle of the migration path of the humpback whale, and a lot of visitors vacation here in winter for whale watching. The beaches are said to be the best in the world, and are popular with many people seeking a Hawaiian beach vacation without the crowds in Honolulu.
Unsurprisingly, the largest sized island in the Hawaii chain is known as the ‘Big Island’. This island boasts more area of land than the rest of the islands combined, and it has 11 of the 13 climates of the world. It includes features as varied as sandy beaches, snowy mountains and the world’s most active volcano. The Big Island is truly an incredible and unique place to visit on your Hawaiian vacation.
In case you are unsure as to which island you would prefer to spend most of your time at, or if this is your first Hawaiian vacation, then why not investigate a Hawaiian cruise? You board your luxurious cruise liner, upon which you’ll spend your nights, and after leaving Honolulu you experience a day and a half at each island. What could be a better way to visit the Islands for the first time and decide which island you enjoy best?
When, however, you decide to spend the nights on land, you’ll have no problem getting a place. There are thousands of hotel rooms available in Hawaii. Furthermore, there are many Hawaii rentals available throughout the Islands.
