Make sure you let them know that you are a new patient. Nine out of ten times, you'll get a same day appointment. If not, then go to the emergency room. Of course you'll have a long wait, but at least you'll be seen by someone. If you do go to the emergency room, you will still need a follow up appointment with a doctor.
