Matte Watch – Weekly Photo Contests Info
July 2009, marks the start of weekly photo contests which give you chances to win prizes weekly, monthly, and even yearly. This contest will be weekly going forward. Check this week to see what the current contest details in its requirements. Check out the details on our monthly and yearly prizes as we post information on those contests as well. The first contest will be based on selecting from submissions of the best scenery photos. Competition is open to all digital photographers who wish to enter their best picture of an impressive local scenic area. Requirements include submitting photos in .JPG format, less than 4mb file size, and uniquely named to keep pictures from being overwritten.
When you see the confirmation that your photo has been uploaded, send us an email at the email address on the picture mat designs site to provide details on the file name of your photo, where you took the picture, and your interest in entering our weekly photo contest. We ask you not to attach photos to your emails, as we cannot guarantee they will be entered into the contest. On Saturdays, winners will be chosen for a first, second, and third place weekly award. Participants will be notified by email when the winners are chosen. Awards will be posted for download from the site. If you have any objection to having your prize(s) remain among site postings, you may request that we remove your posted prize from our site. We reserve the right to refuse inappropriate material or other content for any reason.
Weekly winners will be acknowledged by a first, second, and third place digital award, including their name, winning date, the prize winning photo, and photo location information where available. The top 3 weekly winners will automatically be eligible to compete in the monthly contest, within the month of their weekly entry. See our monthly contest posting for details about monthly prizes available. As we post the winning entries on Saturday, we will also announce any changes to the theme for the next week’s contest.
Lack of participation at any contest level may lead to prizes at that level not being awarded, but lower participation increases your chances for winning.
